My Soul-Led Journey: Books, Lessons, and Daily Practices

Most of my readers know that I’ve been on a soul-led journey for quite some time now. In the past month, I’ve explored a few fascinating books that not only expanded my mind but also helped me connect more deeply with myself. In this post, I want to share what I thought of them, how they influenced me, and give you a peek into the daily practices that continue to support my growth.

I’ve come a long way since the beginning of this path, and I am so grateful that each day continues to open up new lessons. What I share here are tools and insights that have helped me—some may resonate with you, and others may not. That’s the beauty of self-discovery: we each find our own way. If even one of these practices or reflections inspires you, then I celebrate you for listening to your inner being. Remember, we can’t fill someone else’s cup if our own is empty.

Why I Began This Journey

My soul-led journey started with a deep yearning for change. I felt something was missing, something that couldn’t be found outside of myself. Life had brought me challenges—some painful enough to shake my faith and sense of direction. Instead of pointing blame at the world around me, I began searching inward. I realized that peace, fulfillment, and joy are only truly possible when we connect to ourselves and the divine within us.

Books That Have Inspired Me

  • Untangle Your Emotions – Jennie Allen
This book reminded me that emotions aren’t our enemies—they’re messengers. Learning to sit with and process feelings rather than burying them has been life-changing.
  • Book of Wisdom – Harry Joseph
This book was imperfect (a bit rough in editing!) but full of thought-provoking ideas. It explores the body as a cosmic map, blending ancient wisdom with modern insights. It encouraged me to ask deeper questions about how spirituality and science intertwine.              ✨ A gentle reminder: books like this aren’t roadmaps or absolute truths—and they shouldn’t be taken as such. Instead, I see them as explorations of ideas, perspectives to consider, and sparks that encourage deeper self-inquiry. Like every book on the spiritual path, it’s about listening, questioning, and discovering what resonates with your own journey.
  • The Alchemist – Paulo Coelho
A classic for a reason. It reads like a timeless fable, with the core message: when you truly want something and follow your Personal Legend, the universe conspires to help you achieve it.
  • The Myth of Normal – Dr. Gabor Maté
This one shook me. It challenges the idea that what we call “normal” in our modern world is actually healthy. It dives deep into how trauma and societal pressures affect our well-being—and how healing means reclaiming authenticity.
  • Angel Abundance – Belinda J. Womack
My first foray into this kind of spiritual book, and it was captivating. It teaches how to transform scarcity and fear into abundance by healing subconscious blocks. The message: the fear of “not enough” is often what keeps us from true wealth—spiritual, emotional, and even financial.

Each of these books pointed me back to the same truth: everything we seek—power, peace, love, hope—is already within us.

My Daily Spiritual Practices

These are the routines that keep me grounded and connected:

  • Practicing presence—not dwelling on the past or the future
  • Sitting with emotions when they arise, naming them, then letting them go
  • 30 minutes of movement (walking or elliptical)
  • 10 minutes on a sadhu board with healing frequency music
  • Affirmations (20–60 minutes daily)
  • Listening to HZ frequency music depending on what I need
  • Reading (20–30 minutes)
  • Prayer and connecting with God throughout the day—not just in moments of need
  • Drinking water and nourishing my body with whole foods

These practices are not about perfection; they’re about consistency and self-compassion.

Final Thoughts

Looking back, I see that even my hardest moments were stepping stones that brought me here. My faith has deepened, my connection to myself has grown stronger, and I’ve learned that surrender—though difficult—is often the key to peace.

If you take anything from this post, I hope it’s this: the answers you’re seeking are already within you. Your journey may look different than mine, but your inner wisdom will always guide you if you’re willing to listen.

And if you’ve read any of these books—or if you try out some of the practices I mentioned—I’d love to hear how they resonate with you.
